The Safe Haven Law

The Safe Haven Laws allow a parent to anonymously surrender a newborn baby in a safe place, such as a hospital, emergency medical services, police station, or fire station. Safe Haven Law requirements vary from state to state. Many State legislatures have enacted legislation to address infant abandonment.
